Eastern States of Australia

We commenced our trip with a visit to much-missed and dearly-loved family in NSW and Victoria. Christine left a week earlier than John to spend more time with mum Zelma in Medowie. Turning 88 this year, Zelma becomes more precious with every day.

From Medowie we travelled by train to Mittagong, to spend time with John’s brother David, and then another longer trip again by train to Melbourne to see Pink and Bruce, Taj and Erin, and Rowan, Sue and 1-year-old Alistair.

Medowie

Rain, and more rain – thanks to a wild la nina, floods along the East coast. Luckily the first 2 days were dry and some solid gardening and trimming got done. It was just great to catch up with most of the family after so long apart, but missed seeing Dallas and Kirrily this time around.

Going back in November 2022 to hopefully do a better catchup with everyone.

Mittagong

John was able to help brother David with fence removal and construction of a wood storer. The new property is very beautiful. We attended a horse show and picked first, second and third place in one of the events, proving our skill as judges we thought. Toby the dog is a great big American Staffy who just loves everyone and thinks he’s still a puppy.

Melbourne

The train trip to Melbourne was uneventful and we were delighted to spend time with Pink and Bruce, Taj and Erin, and Rowan, Sue and baby Ali, who unfortunately was quite unwell.
