14 November to 17 November

We once again stayed with good friends Walter and Margrit Ruh in the village of Gachlangen, near Shaffhausen in Switzerland. It was a terrific few days enjoying their company, playing and watching tennis (the Nitto Finals were on in London) and exploring the beautiful village. This included picking up freshly dropped walnuts while out for a walk – these taste far better than the old ones from the store that we’re used to.

Plus lucky for us, our regular suite was available! Thanks Wada and Maggi!

One night we had a cheese fondue and decided we’re definitely doing that again back in Perth.

The sunsets were stunning, and we even came across a smidgeon of snow on a nice drive one day. The resulting miniature snowman is entitled “determination”.
